Wishlist: Eye Products

Eye shadow and liner aren't necessary, but they sure are fun to experiment with! I get the most enjoyment from playing with different shadows and liners and trying new looks than with any other makeup products. I always have a running list of the ones that I want to try and today I'm sharing my current eye product wishlist.

Top Row (Left to Right): Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Nude, L'Oreal Infallible Shadow in Iced Latte, CoverGirl Trio in Shimmering Sands, L'Oreal Infallible Shadow in Bronzed Taupe, Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Black.
Bottom Row (Left to Right): Wet n' Wild Color Icon in Walking on Eggshells, Sweet as Candy, and Comfort Zone, CoverGirl Single Shadows in Champagne, Mink, Smolder, and Tapestry Taupe.
*Maybelline Color Tattoo is not pictured- At time of post there was not a product picture on Maybelline's website and I didn't want to take someones personal picture.

Picture of my Wishlist from my Phone

Eyeshadow:
Maybelline Color Tattoo- Summer 2013 Collection:
  • Seashore Frosts- Out of all the duo chrome shadows of the collection, I think this shade really nails it (at least based on the swatches I've seen). Depending on the lighting, this shadow looks blue and gold or green and gold. Either way I think it's beautiful.
  • Lavish Lavender- I've yet to see this new collection in stores, but I'm keeping my eye out for this beautiful purple shade that looks to reflect silver.

L'Oreal Infallible Shadow:
  • Iced Latte- I've been looking for this light ethereal shade for months! No joke. It's always sold out so that must mean something, right? I have one Infallible shadow (last mentioned in my April Favorites) and I would love more.
  • Bronzed Taupe- This beautiful metallic taupe is another shade that's always out of stock. Seriously... the stores in my area have the worst stocked shelves I've ever seen. I should take a picture one day.

Wet n Wild Color Icon:
  • Walking on Eggshells- Perfect golden trio. I've heard so many great reviews on this trio that I would love to try it out for myself.
  • Sweet as Candy- Another trio from Wet n Wild that has received great reviews. I really love the pink shade with this one.
  • Comfort Zone- This pallet has eight shadows that range from neutral to smokey. They seem to have a frost or sheen to them. Honestly, there are several Color Icon pallets that look amazing. If you've tried any, let me know in the comments which one, and what you think!

CoverGirl Single Shadow:
  • Champagne- Cream color shadow with a hint of shimmer. This is a classic shadow that I've never owned. This is always out of stock at my store.
  • Mink- This golden shimmery color looks so pretty. I think it would look great with all eye colors, including mine (hazel).
  • Tapestry Taupe- Shimmery taupe that would be a perfect addition to any collection.
  • Smolder- I think this is a matte brown, but I could be wrong.
*I wish they would make a quad of these four shadows because I don't know if I could ever use up these single shadows (they are huge).

CoverGirl Trio Shadow:
  • Shimmering Sands- This trio has been on my wishlist for ages because I think these golden/neutral shadows would be great for everyday looks and is compact making it perfect for traveling.

Eyeliner:
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner:
  • Black- I'd love a new black liner that goes on super easy and effortlessly. Now if only this color was in stock I'd be one happy camper!
  • Nude- The other color that's never in stock! I'd like to try this for my inner lash line to help my eyes look bigger.

What makeup product do you have the most fun experimenting with?
What eye products do you have your... eye on? :P
By the looks of my list, I'm on a neutral shadow kick.

  1. i'd personally skip covergirl shadows, i had the same trio and i gave it away. the texture is kinda stiff and the color payoff is not that good. i have seashore frosts, all 3 wnw palettes, bronzed taupe and nude eyeliner and all of them are great

    1. Thanks so much for the informative comment! It's so funny that you didn't care for the trio, one of my friends has re-purchased it several times.
It's great to hear that you have had great experiences with all the other products. Just curious as to what retailer you were able to find the new Color Tattoo at?

    1. Thanks so much Val!
I get stock pictures from either the makeup company's website or an online retail website. Then, cut and paste them all together on http://pixlr.com/editor/ (a free online photo editor). Next, I load it onto Google photo (Picasa) where I add the title and my Fairest's Favorites tag.

  3. I have tried all of the mentioned Wet n Wild shadows! They are great, amazing pigmentation and they really do last all day when used with and eye primer. While they do have some fall down it's easily overlooked because of the price!

I have also been using the Rimmel Nude pencil and it is so great for brightening up the eyes!

    Great post Nikki!!

    1. That's great to hear! I can't wait to try them :) I was thinking Sweet as Candy would look amazing over Inked in Pink Color Tattoo.

I want the Rimmel pencils so badly. I should just get in the car and stop at every drugstore until I find it :P
